Originally from Leicester, Toms background is in research. This resulted in him achieving a PhD in tissue engineering before gaining his dental qualification at Leeds University. He joined the Purely Dental team in 2019, where he has committed to providing general dentistry with honesty, quality and value.
As well as being a certified Invisalign provider, Tom has also undertaken further advanced restorative training to help provide the smile you deserve. This included completing an advanced certificate in restorative dentistry under the tutor-age of Dominic Hassall as well as completing certification in digital smile design, Smilefast and Bioclear composite bonding systems.
Tom has a natural enthusiasm for endodontics (root canal treatment) and has gone on to take further training in endodontics through the highly regarded Simplyendo training academy. He has since been awarded a diploma with merit and accepts external referrals.
Tom is a member of the British Endodontic Society and also an Associate fellow at the College of General Dentistry.
Tom’s main interest is digital dentistry, continually looking at new techniques to improve the ease and comfort in which treatment is provided.
Outside of dentistry, Tom is a husband and father of two beautiful girls and he enjoys taking walks in the local Yorkshire countryside.
Mihaela has a passion for preventative dentistry, creating perfect smiles with orthodontics and changing anxious patients outlook on dentistry. She prides herself in keeping up to date with modern dentistry techniques and applying those techniques to the benefit of her clients comfort and oral hygiene.
Mika got married in July 2015 and lives in York with her husband who is an engineer. When not at work Mika likes to engross herself in science fiction dramas and is an avid watcher of Game of Thrones and The Vikings, in addition she also likes reading sci-fi books.
After spending years jumping at the net for Team GB Volleyball, Dami has carried over the same ‘eye on the ball’ focus into dentistry. Whether designing a new smile or navigating a complex root canal, his approach is always the same; listen first to understand your concerns, provide clear, honest options, and then deliver the treatment with an eye on the finest of details. Dami’s goal is to make you feel heard and entirely at ease with him.
Amy began her career working as a dental nurse before gaining a bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene and Therapy from the University of Leeds.
She enjoys motivating patients to make positive behavioural changes to improve their oral and general health and work to treat and prevent dental disease. Her dual qualification enables her to provide restorative dental work and paediatric dentistry alongside hygiene and periodontal treatment.
Amy’s strengths include working with nervous adults and children guiding them through treatment at their own pace with her gentle and supportive manner.
Amy lives in Knaresborough with her husband and two little ones. She loves family time and long walks in the countryside.
Kelly went away from the dental profession in 2003 and returned in 2013, where she started as a Receptionist / Trainee dental nurse with Crystal Clear.
Having been with Crystal Clear for quite a few years, Kelly is now Practice Manager, looking after the day to day running of the business which she very much enjoys having the extra responsibilities. Kelly really likes to look after all her staff members which helps to keep a happy team, this is really important to her.
When Kelly isn’t having a very much needed admin day, she really loves working front of house, seeing her patients, which some she has known for sometime.
When not at work Kelly very much enjoys spending time with her husband Rich, son and the new addition to her family “Perro” the much loved Black Lab. They all like to go on long walks whenever they can.
Polly joined Crystal Clear in October 2018 after previously working as a nursery nurse. Looking for a new challenge, she moved into dental nursing and qualified in 2021. Polly loves her role and enjoys developing new skills; she is qualified in phlebotomy, implant nursing, dental radiography, and is also the practice IPC Lead.
Passionate about patient care, Polly enjoys chatting with patients to help them feel happy, relaxed, and comfortable throughout their visit.
Outside of work, Polly enjoys days out with her fiancé and their dogs, Bear and Hugo, whatever the weather. When she’s not out and about, she loves settling down to watch a good movie.
Eve joined the practice in June 2022 and qualified as a dental nurse in December 2024. She is also qualified in both phlebotomy and implant nursing, further supporting the clinical team across a range of procedures. Eve takes pride in working closely with patients and is committed to providing a calm, reassuring experience, helping patients feel comfortable throughout their visits.
Outside of the practice, Eve enjoys knitting and reading in her spare time.
